“We just couldn’t decide whether condominium living was the right lifestyle choice for us. It was a big move to leave our large family home and there were a lot of things about condominium living that we really didn’t understand. After trying it out with The Northumberland’s Lease to Own Program, we learned that the low-maintenance condo lifestyle has given us a lot more time for each other, and the freedom to travel on a moment’s notice with the peace of mind of knowing that our home is in safe hands. As it turns out, condo living is the perfect lifestyle for us and we haven’t looked back since deciding to give it a try.”
“Now that I’m on my own, I wanted to live in a place where I felt safe and secure. And, keeping up with all the duties of owning a home was more work for one person than I had imagined. I really didn’t know anything about condominium living, which made me a little hesitant to jump into buying a luxury suite. So, I decided to ease my way into this new lifestyle by taking advantage of the Lease to Own Program. And, I’m very glad I did! Living atThe Northumberland has made my life a lot easier; it has given me piece of mind and more free time to do all the things that I enjoy. When my girlfriends call to meet for lunch at our favorite restaurant, all I have to do is shut my door and cross the street. It’s so convenient!”
"At this age and stage in my life, moving to a new province with only three month’s notice to take on a new project was a big adjustment. I’ve always owned my own home, but I didn’t know enough about the direction of my career or about the city of Charlottetown to make an informed purchase decision. My surroundings are important to me; I knew I wanted to live in the style that I have become accustomed to, but being this close to retirement, I also knew I didn’t want to throw away my hard earned money on rental payments either. When I found out about The Northumberland’s Lease to Own Program, I was certain this was the perfect option for me. It allowed me move in and get settled right away without having to make a hasty purchase commitment. At the end of my one-year lease, I will know more about the future of my career here in PEI. If I decide to stay for the long term, I can purchase my condo and have the satisfaction of knowing that my monthly payments were actually an investment in my new home. And, as a newcomer to the city, I find the social benefits of condominium living very attractive as well. I’ve met a few of my neighbors and was asked to join their Wednesday afternoon golf group! It’s already starting to feel like home."
*Cable, phone, electricity & internet are not included.
